Hi! This week has been a whirlwind of work and I’ve literally been burning the midnight oil! Haven’t had much time to do a lot of the things that I planned to do- notice the Mzuri tab above, well that’s a story I’ve been wanting to tell you for sometime, but I’m not ready just yet, so we’ll hold that thought for sometime. In my very busy week, I did however get some time to do an outfit post, and I really wanted to talk about “why” I do this. I’m not a hardcore fashionista, neither claim to be obsessed with fashion, but I do like surrounding myself with things that make me feel good. I like shoes, bags, clothes, jewellery- you get the point, but I don’t buy things necessarily cause their in trend, I buy it because I like the way it looks on me. In all honesty I don’t dress up every day either and that’s exactly why I like doing an “outfit” post because it lets me doll up and more importantly have fun! I’ve had Prashant do my inital shoots (but he left me stranded) and then I had no choice but bully my best friend Lekha to doing it with me. The outcome- a few laughs, something to smile about and a notch higher of confidence. It debated a lot whether I wanted to put myself out there, but I look back at the few posts I’ve done and I’d do it all over again- no regrets!
Coming to my today’s outfit post, the ensemble is a collection of my current favorites. I picked up this top from a factory outlet on Commercial Street, the H&M bag is a present from Prashant (I love it) and the “to-die” for flats are from DonebyNone! Spikes, studs and bolts of neon- the perfect solution to beat away the gloomy weather!
P.S. My mum just reached her 300th post on her food blog– I’m so proud of her and she’s a real winner. Prashant- Did I ever tell you how much I love this bag?! Thank you Lekha- “Without music, life would be a mistake” she’s got the best beats in town, check out her music blog– you really should check it out!
